Choose a Topic to Practise

Common behavioural questions asked across all roles and industries.

Use the STAR method: describe the Situation (project context), Task (your responsibility), Action (how you addressed the conflict — e.g. private conversation, active listening, finding common ground), and Result (improved collaboration, on-time delivery). Focus on empathy, professionalism, and measurable outcomes.
Choose a genuine failure — not a disguised strength. Walk through what happened, take ownership, and emphasise what you learned and how you changed your approach going forward. Interviewers value self-awareness and growth mindset.
Explain your framework: Eisenhower matrix, MoSCoW, or impact-effort analysis. Give a concrete example where you triaged competing priorities, communicated trade-offs to stakeholders, and delivered the highest-value items on time.
Pick a story where you identified a gap, took initiative without being asked, and created tangible value — a process improvement, a proactive fix, or helping a teammate. Quantify the impact wherever possible.
Demonstrate emotional maturity: explain that you listen without defensiveness, ask clarifying questions, separate the feedback from the person, and create an action plan. Share a real example where feedback led to a positive change.
